NF - DAAF certification:

Marking NF - DAAF certifies the conformity of the product to the repository certification NF 292 and in this framework the Detecteurs Apagers Afirst of FMP & EU (DAAF) shall primarily conform to the requirements of standard NF EN 14604.

The standard EN 14604 (European standard) was developed in the context of the implementation of the European directive 89/106/EEC to come in support of the requirements of this directive transposed into french law by Decree No. 92-647 of July 8, 1992, as amended.

It specifies requirements, test methods, performance criteria and the instructions of the manufacturers of the devices of smoke alarm using the principle of dissemination or transmission of light, for domestic or similar applications.

Since May 1, 2007, only products complying with these requirements (compliance with the standard EN 14604) and bearing the CE conformity marking may be placed on the market.

Unlike many other products, a control factory by an approved laboratory and independent verifies the conformity of the product to the standard EN 14604 before granting the CE marking, however surveys have demonstrated non-compliance of certain detectors.

The mark NF DAAF, guarantee of compliance with standard NF EN 14604 guarantees the safety and the effectiveness of these devices (ease of installation, efficiency of detection, non-vulnerabilite to environmental disturbances, alert at the end of... battery life).

It is the result of a voluntary initiative on the part of professionals who mobilized, with AFNOR Certification, to write a specification strict, based on the standard EN 14604 and any manufacturer wishing to obtain the NF DAAF mark must comply with the certification NF 292 repository.
