Even if the battery of the electric scooter is fixed, it is possible to protect the environment in the event of a fire. VLICOVER fire blankets are placed on the scooter or e-bike. If the battery catches fire, the heat and fire remain under the cover and smoke formation is significantly reduced.
In the event of a lithium-ion battery fire, the battery burns in a controlled manner under the fire blanket without endangering nearby objects and with significantly reduced room temperature and smoke development.
Every day, firefighters extinguish fires in vehicles or industrial machinery. Most often, they use foam, powder, or water for this purpose. It is almost impossible to prevent toxic substances from being released into the air or groundwater.
Certified for use up to 1,300 °C at peak, the PRIME Vlicover fire cover is a fire barrier. It makes it possible to control the fire, to slow down the spread of the fire, with a significant and immediate reduction in smoke and temperature. Toxic fumes remain under the blanket.
- Base material: 550gr/m² of special fiberglass fabric (in accordance with EN 13501-1:2018) with a silicone coating on both sides. Material in accordance with DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11
